SKILL the National Bureau for Students with Disabilities disappeared in 2011.  Its work is continued by the Disability Alliance .  Their 2012 Higher Education Guide for People with Disabilities is a guide specifically for disabled students thinking about studying in higher education. It deals with common questions such as whether the college or university will be accessible, how to choose a course and what support will be available. This edition also covers funding and tuition fees for 2012 entry as well as a substantial amount of new material and case studies.

Equality Challenge Unit supports the higher education sector to realize the potential of all staff and students whatever their race, gender, disability, sexual orientation, religion and belief, or age, to the benefit of those individuals, higher education institutions and society

The Department for Innovation Universities and Skills has published its Disabled Students and Higher Education report (May 2009). The main purpose of the report is to "bring together in one place various statistics and facts that are available from a range of sources" relating to disabled students.
