Training feedback comments  

Two trainers from the Dutch partner Handicap-Studie, Jan Westgeest and Evelien Westerbeek van Eerten trained trainers from partners and associates’ universities (disability coordinators or support staff for disabled students).

The training program focussed on the needs of both trainers and disabled students.  

An outcome of this activity will be a handbook for trainers, that can be used for further trainings.  

 

METU and NIHA are jointly organising the training environment, with an interpreter to facilitate communication between the Dutch trainers and some of the Turkish participants.   

Accessible transport with a lift for disabled students will be arranged  The meeting rooms and accommodation will be as accessible as possible.

 Disability support coordinators from 13 Turkish universities will be trained; at the same time, 25 disabled students from 5 countries will participate, and discuss the beginnings of the European-level platform of disabled university students.
