Accommodation and meals during the session are provided by the European Youth Centre Strasbourg. Want to know how to deal with people & groups in your projects and at work? How to facilitate a meeting or to run an effective workshop? How to improve teamwork and solve conflicts in the team? How to speak in public? Finally, do you want to explore the ways of making your work with hard of hearing (and not only) people more inclusive and productive? Then this study session is for you! Here you can acquire skills in facilitation (communication, teamwork, conflict management, human rights education, public speaking) that will be very useful for you in your NGO work as well as in your life, studies and career. What is facilitation? Facilitation in general is the art of making it easier for a group of people to learn, to come to common conclusion, or to reach an objective. Facilitation differs from training or leadership, because facilitator does not force anything on the group. He or she just sets general rules and guards that communication in group is balanced and productive. Specific themes concerning hard of hearing youth are also included in the programme of the Study Session. With the help of these newly acquired skills participants will be able work towards the inclusion of hard of hearing young people in their communities. So if you are motivated to work with this common goal in mind with and for hard of hearing young people, you are the person we are looking for! The language of the Study Session is (spoken) English, but we made our Study Session as accessible as possible with a speech-to-text service and assistive hearing technologies. See the Call with more information + the application form to the Study Session attached.
